Why Mulberry Silk?
> MORE MOISTURE-WICKING THAN COTTON: Mulberry Silk is one of the most breathable fabrics, even more breathable than cotton. So, our mask will absorb your sweat as you go about your day, never feeling uncomfortable on your face.
> TEMPERATURE REGULATING: Because of its incredible moisture-wicking abilities, our mask prevents your face from overheating. While wearing traditional masks, the heat generated from your face becomes trapped within the mask and causes you to feel hot and uncomfortable and continue to sweat more! But, our mulberry silk mask will absorb the excess moisture from your face, allowing you to stay cool and comfortable - at work, the gym, or just while running errands.
> ANTIBACTERIAL / HYPOALLERGENIC: The fibers in our masks are naturally coated with a protein called sericin, which has antimicrobial properties and repels dust mites. Traditional face masks are prone to harboring bacteria, mold, and dust which cause your face to become irritated and have flare-ups, if your skin is especially sensitive or acne-prone. But, our soft and gentle face masks keep your skin germ-free for longer and prevent acne or irritation.
> MINIMIZES WRINKLES AND IMPROVES COMPLEXION: The nourishing and gentle fibers in our masks minimize friction against your skin. Traditional face masks (made of polyester or medical cotton), on the other hand, are abrasive, uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, and increase the tendency of fine lines and wrinkles. Our face masks will keep your face looking rejuvenated and healthy.
> ECO-FRIENDLY, CHEMICAL-FREE, AND BIODEGRADABLE

WHY CHOOSE US?
Organic Cotton masks are made of a short fiber that is not only abrasive against your skin, but allows your skin to dry out. As a result, the sebum glands around your mouth have to increase oil production. Now, more oil is produced in a very humid environment as you are breathing within the mask, which allows for more bacterial growth to occur, and this leads to acne breakouts and damages the health of your skin.
Surgical (Blue) Masks are simply not designed for long-term wear. These surgical masks are supposed to be a quick filter between a doctor and a patient and then be discarded. They contain myriad chemicals such as formaldehydes, metals, rubbers, and glues, so keeping these chemicals in close proximity to your face for longer periods of time poses a danger of absorbing them through the skin into your bloodstream. This may lead to allergic reactions, and even prominent health issues. Not to mention, they are not biodegradable and their disposable nature only aids to filling landfills at an alarming rate.
Non-Organic Cotton masks are full of harmful pesticides such as organophosphates, pyrethroids, neonicotinoids, and herbicides. Not only are these harmful for local animal habitats, but wearing these on your skin for prolonged periods of time may have detrimental effects for your health and to that of the makers as well. Not to mention, pesticide use damages the integrity of the fibers used in the cloth and reduces their lifespan.
Satin masks are comparable to wearing plastic on your face. Made with polyester, this synthetic fiber often is made of carcinogenic polymers that are released gradually with more wear and sweat. More often than not, the toxic dyes used to make this plastic fabric are disposed of in the local water supply, posing dangerous health risks for local wildlife and the workers as well. Did you know that every time polyester is washed it releases 4,000 fibers per gram of microplastic into our oceans?
